Hi Dawna and family,

I was so sorry to hear about Uncle Don's passing and wanted to let you know you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I was trying to think of a special story and realized there wasn't just one. So instead I thought I would pass on some special memories instead. Of all the Great Uncles I had, Uncle Don was at the top of the list for me. He was always so kind and gentle and I always felt so comfortable around him. I remember one time asking about how he lost his finger(s) and he took the time to gently explain it to me. He told me that it wasn't something to be afraid of, that the loss just made him a bit different. That difference never stopped him however.

To this day I remember his kind heart and gentle way of communicating. He will be greatly missed, but will always remain a huge part of my life and I'm sure all of those he touched.

I wish you well and want you to know that if there is anything we can do, please do not hesitate to ask. Today will be difficult, but keep focused on the fact that you were all blessed to have this wonderful man in your lives for a very long period of time.
